ABC Pathways School Employee Review

Good Starter Place if you need some experience

It was a decent place to work and I made some good friends while I was there. You will want to move on to better paying jobs later and hopefully ones that don't have Saturday work. But would recommend to a starter teacher.

Pros

Many other NETs around, late morning start, max 10 per class, prepped curriculum, some training, new teacher support

Cons

End late, work on Saturdays, capped pay, repetitive material after a while

Same role

Big company but terrible management. Don’t treat their employees fairly.

The headteachers at the Centers are very bad and poor management a lot of favouritism. I would not recommend working there they will give you your expected salary but no raise for the years to come

Overworked, underpaid, favouritism and unprofessional

Please read if you are considering working at ABC Pathways. If you are a new teacher with no prior experience than this job would be great for you because they have no standards and would hire anyone, literally. Training is promised to new teachers, but the training they provide is completely useless, a waste of time, and there's no format. After this, they throw you into a class and expect you to run the class and if you make a mistake, that's on you. They do not offer any constructive criticism and will pit all blame on you for anything that happens. This job will not give you a healthy work-life balance. This job requires a lot of hours but there are no bonuses or rewards. They will tell you that you can work their 'seminars' and earn a little extra cash; not worth it. Workload is not distributed evenly amongst colleagues. The harder you work and show how capable you are, the more they'll give you. Less work is given to those who aren't as good. They make you believe the salary they give you is great when it's not and they will lowball you with some pathetic excuse when you negotiate. Keep in mind, it's a business, not a school. Workplace culture is a hit or miss. The reason being is because the turn-over rate at these centers are extremely high, so the staff there always changes. Nepotism, favouritism, and gossip is apparent in their work culture. They're very unprofessional and do not have any boundaries. Verbal harassment and intimidation is normal there and there's no such thing as HR even if you want to report it. There's no point in reporting -
