I have worked on annual audit, IPO audit, SFC compliance audit, and other assurance engagements such as Banking Return Review, Operational Audit Review etc. I learnt management skill in EY.For some medium size engagements, I am in charge of the field work, guide, delegate, and review the work of junior team members. I also monitor the engagement team against the budget and time line.
Pros: okay if you u dont want to be fired (they dont fire bad performing staffs)Cons : No meritocracy. Promotion based 100% on the number of yearswith the firm and loyalty. Brown nosing expected in order to be promoted. No bonus. Difficult to move from one department to another. Lying management about pay and promotion.
Learning, early years
Zero meritocracy. Brownnosing expected
Dont have much work as what they showcase on team meetings, need management to have skilled personnels that can lead team well and train, groom them so they can bring and perform better infront of clients. Treat and consider employees with transparency on pay scale and designations while hiring. HR really need to improve their induction and onboarding process
You'll get a lot of experience from working with different people as well as different industries. The biggest downside is the terrible work life balance you get. You will more than likely be working more than you are expecting to.
Benefits, Pto, career progression
Poor work/life balance, below average pay

orario- no vita sociale - stress
EY is great to kick-start your career. You become disciplined and you become a good worker. The most difficult is to balance your personal life with the professional one. Staff barely have time to pursue furthur studies or to have a good night of sleep without worrying about work. I really appreciate my time at EY because it forged me to who I am today. However, it is only meant to start your career and seek better opportunities for better work-life balance.
Forging a good work attitude and character
No work-life balance
Excellent environment for beginner through executive professional training for accountants, auditors practitioners with financial background. EY is renowned professional services provider in it's industry and would highly recommend the company.
