Other than having good benefits this company isn't what people make out to be. They're unfair when handling promoting the right people, they look over you if they don't think they can handle you. Their racist in everything they do. Their not one person with color within the corporate level that works for H&M. They treat their Employees unfair and misconstrued.
Short breaks, Pay isn't all that well.
All of the sales advisor and some of the DM's are great to work with but the district team is very out of touch and has very little knowledge of how a day is in a store so they create unrealistic goals. The pandemic has shown that H&M is ill-equipped and not supportive of its employees, employee beware!
Co-workers and Birthday pay
management and no work life balance
Managers play favorites and like to target the workers they don’t like, and don’t appreciate any of the work you do unless you are a favorite. Most of the time managers are in the back of the store doing nothing while the sales associates are on the floor doing all the work. Employee’s come and go due to poor management and disregard to employee happiness.
Very deceitful company and has the worst work/life balance. A revolving door, the turnover is so high is unbelievable. You can get fired for being over 3 minutes late. No exceptions. Within a year, I’ve seen more than 30 employees being let go, which is why they hire in bulk. You will be sold this perfect idea of working here because the office is cute and sometimes they provide food, but the bottom line is you’re working in an overcrowded call center being highly micromanaged
Fast paced job, stressful at times, and the manager we had was hired in from the outside of the company and didn’t know how to run things once he got there. Made the work environment very unsettling, and he was very pushy and overbearing at times. There was no room for advancement at this location.
The company is great, but when it comes hours and days were they schedule all over the place 6am-12am or working with your everyday life, it's one way or the highway. I love the employee's I work with, but the company is based in Sweden and they can't relate to the day in's and outs of the US. They can also fire you at will.
Great job! You can build a career here at the customer service center. But you would have to sacrifice you life outside of work. That is how bad the scheduling is. Retail hours are not bad. But it's pretty great environment to work in.
Culture of the company is great, provides flexible hours focused around the completion of clearly defined tasks. Lots of paid time off and sickness time off. However, not a lot of upward mobility, based on the Global perspective of the specific role.
