Great summer short job
Park Services (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - June 29, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI would work as Park service , the co workers are the best part. You develop a close relationship, it’s beneficial since you really only got each other. You help one another .. you are thrown right away without training

Definitely a good intro to guest service
Ride Operator (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - June 25, 2022
This was my first job and it definitely helped me in obtaining guest service skills. Was easy to promote as long as you knew what you were doing. However if you weren’t good at your job it was clear that management didn’t like you and other coworkers made it obvious as well
Pros
Training, working in a team
Cons
Hot, long shifts, management didn’t usually back you

Full of back stabbing immature people.
Maintenance (Current Employee) - Buena Park, CA - June 21, 2022
No communication between anyone, your coworkers will throw you under the bus any chance they get.its like high school.your bosses always assume you are screwing around no matter how hard you work. They can't find their way out of a paper bag.
Pros
If you're a screw up you move up.
Cons
That screw up becomes your boss

For night services the managers and supervisor are extremely rude
Custodian (Current Employee) - Buena Park, CA - June 9, 2022
They wouldn’t give me my schedule, they talked to me like im a child, and they give you the hurry up gtfo of here face, don’t care about family emergencies, such as a grandparent being in the hospital with a bad heart, overall I regret applying for night services and working for the three higher ups, they are also very harsh on new employees, besides them the coworkers are great, but the management just makes everything miserable and makes you regret things and constantly makes you think if you made the right decision

Great Job for Teenagers
Food Service Worker (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - June 4, 2022
Very easy job for anyone with no work experience. Such a fun environment since you’re in a amusement park and definitely great benefits. Only thing that sucks are the hours when its slow season
Pros
Free Tickets & discount food
Cons
No hours

Its alright.
Park Services (Current Employee) - Long Beach, CA - May 30, 2022
It could be better. Park services is a pretty basic but really boring job since all you do is walk around an area and pick up after people. And just give them directions. The management/supervisors in the department are kind of hard to talk to, but they will accommodate if you have any personal issues. Other than that, the job lowkey sucks.

It ok
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - May 28, 2022
It was a nice starting job and I gained a lot of experience working there. Definitely not a long term job. Knott’s is a good first job if you’re good at managing stress.

Good place, took me a while to get on the job and get a schedule, orientation wasn’t too bad either. Forms were easy to fill out and interview was easy going and non stressful

Friendly environment but not too many growth opportunities. Management is can also be very helpful. I enjoy working here and I also have fun and friendly co-workers

Better place that Disneyland overall, however still just an entry-level customer service job.
Cook 1 (Current Employee) - Anaheim, CA - May 10, 2022
As someone who worked both Knotts and Disney, I can say overall I prefer Knotts. I get paid slightly more here as a new hire then I did after 6 year's experience at Disney, and I appreciate the paid walk time to and from my car. They do pretty much suck at communication and it's learn-as-you-go, so if you prefer to have a trainer assigned to you then Disney is much better in that aspect. By sucking at communication, I mean that it took me a full week to recognize who my managers are since no one introduced themselves to me, and I've been here a few months and still don't fully understand the call out system or how to trade shifts. But everyone here so far are very nice and it's more lenient than Disneyland is. As a part timer I get 5 guest passes per quarter and free entry into the park with no blockout dates, which is nice. In the end, it's another customer service job so don't expect too much. It's not too hard, they expect you to learn as-you-go but don't knock you for needing help.
Pros
Paid walk to and from your car, Guest passes each quarter for any Cedar Fair Park+ free park entry for associates, Yearly associate party, Nice people, fairly chill
Cons
Lack of communication

Fun if you’re there for a short period of time
Games Associate (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - May 9, 2022
It’s fun if you work seasonly such as the summer and that’s it. The work environment was stressful since it was hot and you are outside all day but if that’s ok with you then I would go for it.

Fun place to work with benefits
Food Associate (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - April 28, 2022
It was fun working at Knott's Berry Farm. There are quite a few perks that are pretty cool like employee discounts and free entry. The place you start working at might be as a food associate or as a operator.
Pros
There own cafeteria for employees
Cons
Started out a low hours

Average minimum wage job
Guest Service Associate (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - April 23, 2022
Coworkers are always a pleasure to work with. Supervisors are friendly and supportive. Guests can be a handful but they are not too bad. Great company to work at as a minimum wage job.
Pros
Quarterly Knott's Tickets

Ride operator
Ride Operator (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - April 18, 2022
It was fun…repetitive, and you have to be able to pay attention to multiple things. I worked in snoopy and it was great but then got cross trained to hang time and it was a lot to handle and super fast paced. Be honest and if you can’t do the job just asked to switch departments and they will help you with the process.

Coworkers made the job bearable
Food Service Worker (Former Employee) - Buena Park, CA - March 21, 2022
Good entry level job overall but management lacked communication and scheduling matters weren’t always handled in the best way. The pay is right at about minimum wage and you are often asked to do more work that what you are compensated for.

Great People but stressful environment
Ride Operator (Seasonal) (Current Employee) - Buena Park, CA - March 11, 2022
To most, working at Knott's is like working at a highschool. If you make friends, the shifts will go by so quickly. On busy days, guests can be rowdy and the atmosphere can become so stressful.
Pros
Flexible schedule, great co-workers
Cons
Stressful, boring and old after a while
