Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) - HK, HK
Literally the worst job I've ever had and the worst human service agency I have ever come across. Pure money making only strategies, managers don't care about anything.

Senior Flight Operations Officer (Former Employee) - Hong Kong International Airport, New Territories
Worked in operations for a year.
Generally everyone in the office is easy-going and friendly, including supervisors, feels like being in a warm-family.

If you're willing to learn, this job can be very rewarding.

You get the chance to be in touch with airline operating crew on the daily, and also make friends with ppl from other ground handling teams (i.e. catering, maintenance, ramp services).

If you're a fast learner to begin with, it'd be highly beneficial; whereas if you're weren't one to start with, this job will shape you into one.

If you're an avid aviation enthusiast, you'll appreciate the opportunity to enter the cockpit and cargo holds of commercial airliners and get hands on experience of how the industry operates. You'll prepare necessary flight documents, handle flight turn-arounds, and deal with sudden incidents under a timely matter.

Every day is a routine, but you expect every day to be different.

Work can get very intense at times and is HIGHLY DEPENDENT on the roster issued WEEKLY by the supervisor. Get ready for some non-existent work life balance because you'll be likely to put on a fixed shift every single week, expect to work over-time (paid overtime compensation, not much though) and occasional 6-day weeks. The good news is it's relatively easy to ask for a day off.

Salary is low when you first enter, but gradually increases as your rank increases (and since you work overtime on the daily). Still not enough to compensate the hard work you did IMO, but that's the norm with everyone who works in HKIA ground operations.
