SCB is famous for acquiring good talents but not keeping them for long run development after constant training provided. Good teams and excellent management that brought Global visions.

工作壓力大、同事之間競爭較多、人們對公司歸屬感很強,但總體來說獲益良多,是業界的少林寺。如果正在為事業拼搏,值得加入。

Very big and matrix organization which is complicated. Same message needs to send several times but makes it inefficient communication. Management are usually loyal employees which stay with the Bank for manay years. A lot show stoppers but few contributors. Lobbying, influrencing skill and networking skill are important to be successfully within the Bank.

For a big company, the marketing team is extremely small and consists of a lot of managers. Whilst the top management team is quite democratic, the middle management is extremely reluctant to change.

Most enjoyable - be the team to drive new initiatives with external alliances for the retail banking - be the team to change and be innovative to plan and executive the new product or services for client Culture - 'work together' with internal stakeholders - encourage staff to speak up

I was very busy working in Standard Chartered Bank daily. I learn time management, teamwork and multitask working. I co-operated with my co-worker very well. The most hardest part of the job was to liaise with Credit department regarding the deviation of approval. The most enjoyable part of the job was able to complete multitask on time and accurate.

Worked as a team with the senior legal adviser allocating the work, and attending meetings quite frequently, which is time consuming as the head of the team summoned meetings whenever there was an issue--at my seniority I was able to work without much supervision. This overlap of colleagues' time could be improved if the one managing the team was capable of exercising his own judgement when dealing with his seniors / the management. The hardest part of the job is the hassle of travelling to the office in Kwun Tong on a daily basis, particularly when most of the time I worked late hours (at least 9 to 10 pm), and the travelling is very time-consuming and inconvenient, and out of touch with the rest of the world (ie Central)
