No career advancement, unless you want to continue to study for a PhD

Worked as a research assistant for a few years in the university. I'd say there are not much career advancement unless you want to continue your study to a PhD. Pay is only fair. The perks are the more relaxing work environment, discount in coffee shops in the university and staff canteens.
