The job culture here is not fast-paced. I worked as a technical assistant and a typical 9-5 working hour. Not too much work to do but the salary is not too high.

Very Poor ManagementVery Poor System of Rewards and benefits for employees; Not fair and a very stubborn evaluation system for the entry pay scale, annual appraisal and salary review for excellent and worthy employee, the system just discourage staff retention (the new policy mandatory require downgrade of general staff's assessment - clearly budget cut for staff maintenance )Many layers of the working process

Depends on for whom you work

The work depends on the team and the actual supervisor. In my case, there has been a lot of flexibility in performing job tasks which is an advantage. However, there have been many stressful periods during peak months and there is no back-up/buddy system so there can be a lot of pressure in case a person falls sick, etc. Also, holidays can be mostly taken when there are no classes which might not be convenient.

It was a relatively harmonic workplace, with good amount of learning opportunities. Hardest part of the job was when there are too many colleagues sometimes it's hard to come to a mutual agreement.
