Full job description

The project aims to create innovative simulations grounded in multidimensional behavioral data. By harnessing machine learning analytics, we will translate this data into predictive insights regarding performance and organisational fit, ultimately seeking to mitigate the biases that often accompany traditional methods.

Duties

The candidate will be required to:

  • Support the design and implementation of AI-enabled recruitment and talent-management solutions in the field, including candidate screening, competency profiling, job-candidate matching, structured interviewing, and assessment;
  • Develop and manage industry partnerships to identify organisational problems and translate them into both academic and practically relevant research projects;
  • Coordinate with all potential stakeholders (e.g. HR leaders, business executives, technology providers, other researchers) involved in collaborative projects; and
  • Support the development of integrated AI+VR approaches for evaluating behavioural, interpersonal, leadership, and job-related competencies in realistic work environments and explore new industry applications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management/ Organisational Psychology/Information Systems/Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence/Data Science/Human-Computer Interaction/Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Strong ability to connect academic research with practical organisational and industry challenges;
  • Experience in managing research projects, innovation platforms, laboratories, joint research centers, or interdisciplinary teams;
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment involving industry partners, academic researchers, technology specialists, HR professionals, and senior industry executives; and
  • Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following qualifications and/or experience:
    • Strong industry networks, and experience working with companies on university-industry collaborative R&D projects, and translating business challenges into research designs;
    • Experience developing or applying VR, AR, XR, simulation, or immersive technologies in organisational, educational, training, or assessment contexts.

Candidates with a Master’s degree plus 1 year’s post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
