Full job description

Airborne Virus, All-aqueous Emulsions, Droplet Micro Fluidics

Duties

  • Drive research activities towards defined goals in a specified timeline;
  • Provide technical solutions for ongoing R&D projects;
  • Data analysis and management;
  • Draft reports and presentations relevant to the projects;
  • Translate research outcomes into real-use and commercially viable applications;
  • Perform various laboratory administrative duties; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Biotechnology/Applied Biology/Applied Physics/Chemistry/Pharmaceutics/Medicine/Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines;
  • Good command of written and spoken English;
  • Good time management with a strong sense of responsibility and research ethics;
  • Self-motivated team player who can be assertive to achieve results; and
  • Collaborative working modes in different labs and physical locations may be required.

Fresh graduates with outstanding academic achievement and a strong passion for applied research in biomedical instrumentation will also be considered.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ post-qualification experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year’s post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.

Candidates with a PhD degree or equivalent qualification may be considered for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Salary offered will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental consultations at the campus clinic.
