Chemist jobs

Main Duties:

• Develop and set up new tests related to Hong Kong food regulation Cap 132 (e.g. pesticides, preservatives, harmful substances);
• Be responsible for the quality of work produced by the laboratory and to ensure the quality management system in compliance with ISO 17025 standard;
• Be responsible for equipment maintenance and calibration (GC-MS, LC-MSMS, ICP-MS etc);
• Maintain and improve laboratory housekeeping daily operations;
• Handle Ad hoc issue;
• Occasionally work on holidays (5-day work per week).

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Chemistry / Chemical Technology or related studies;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical laboratory testing, with knowledge in HOKLAS (Accredited Food Testing) is preferred;
• Candidates with experience in R&D chemical laboratory testing is preferred;
• Experience in operating and performing maintenance for instruments: GC-MS, LC-MSMS, ICP-MS;
• Candidate with less experience or lower qualification will be considered as Chemist;
• Self-motivated , fast learner and willing to work overtime;
• Strong team player and communicator;
• Disciplinary, punctual.
