Contract Medical Research jobs

Centre for Novostics (www.novostics.hk), a subsidiary of TR at CUHK Co. Ltd., has a vision to develop cutting-edge molecular diagnostics based on cell-free nucleic acids in blood and other bodily fluids. We are currently looking for Research Associate(s)/Research Assistant(s) to commence as soon as possible on a contract basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. Candidates with less experience will be considered for appointment as Junior Research Assistant(s).

The appointee will play a vital role in supporting the research functions including designing and performing experiments, managing, compiling and analyzing data, exploring and mining of data to address important biological questions and translate into clinical applications. He/she will have to interact with clinicians, biologists and bioinformatics experts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, life sciences);
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including PCR/qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction and purification, and library preparation for next-generation sequencing (NGS);
• High degree of professionalism, strong work ethic and good time management;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions;
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
