Entry Requirements:
Candidates should have –
(a) a Hong Kong Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism and Communications, Marketing or Public Relations disciplines or equivalent with at least 8 years’ solid post-qualification full-time work experience in media or journalism exposure to corporate communications, public relations and marketing; AND
(b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (1)].
Candidates who possess -
(i) strong interpersonal skills with high fluency in Cantonese, English and Putonghua, and good Chinese and English writing skills; and
(ii) a solid understanding of local media organisations’ operations and has cultivated strong industry relationships

Note:
“Grade C” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
(a) To strategically formulate and implement the publicity plan to maximise positive exposure of RTHK’s corporate initiatives and brand; (b) To formulate and implement stakeholder communication plan to ensure timely, effective and consistent communications of RTHK’s initiatives to various stakeholder groups, including relevant government departments, Legislative Councilors, political parties, etc.; (c) To prepare materials including work plan, presentations, contributory articles, letters, etc. for senior management; (d) To closely monitor the social sentiment and assess potential issues towards RTHK. To develop issue management plan and propose relevant measures if necessary; and (e) To perform any duties assigned.

Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidate will be appointed on one-year non-civil service contract terms.
Fringe Benefits
If the contract is satisfactory completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the officer may be granted a gratuity which, when added together with the Government’s contribution to the MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
