THE CHINESE MEDICINE HOSPITAL OF HONG KONG
The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) is a flagship Chinese medicine(CM) institution leading the development of CM including Chinese medicines (CMs) in Hong Kong. The CMHHK adopts a public-private partnership model. The HKSAR Government has financed the construction and selected the Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor to incorporate the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the CMHHK.
The CMHHK is targeted to commence hospital services by phases at the end of 2025. The CMHHK aims to offer comprehensive CM care, ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promote advanced and specialised CM services. The CMHHK will pioneer integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM) services to cater to different patient needs. Inpatient, day-patient, and outpatient treatments and also community services will be offered by the CMHHK. Both Government-subsidised services and add-on market-oriented services will be provided to ensure accessibility and to meet the diverse healthcare needs of the community.
With a view to prioritising education, training, innovation and research, including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical research and develop CM theories and clinical applications, the CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team.

The CM Division requires the following positions in commission stage II to support the evidence-based protocol drafting in the area of CM, ICWM services, training and research; to support the IT and application designs related to operations; and to coordinate the promotional campaign so as to increase public awareness of the missions of CMHHK and spread the CM culture in the community.

Controlled by the Health Bureau and operated under a public-private partnership model, CMHHK was financed by the HKSAR Government, which selected Hong Kong Baptist University as the contractor through tendering procedures in 2021. HKBU incorporated the HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited as the operator to manage, operate and maintain the hospital.
Since commencing phased services in December 2025, CMHHK offers comprehensive CM care ranging from primary, secondary to tertiary services, and promotes advanced and specialised CM treatments. As a pioneer in integrated Chinese-western medicine (ICWM), CMHHK addresses diverse patient needs through inpatient, day-patient, outpatient and community-based services. With 65% of services government-subsidised and the remainder market-oriented, the hospital ensures accessible healthcare while meeting the diverse needs of the community.
With a strong commitment to education, training, innovation and research—including collaboration with local and overseas universities to advance evidence-based clinical studies and develop CM theories and clinical applications—CMHHK is now looking for the following talent to join our team.
Assistant Manager (Occupational Safety & Health) (26054)
Responsibilities:
The appointee plays a key role in driving the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) related initiatives and improvement programmes for CMHHK;
Develop, implement, and review OSH policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and industry best practices in collaboration with internal committees;
Act as the primary contact for the Labour Department (LD), managing official visits, inquiries, and all required documentation submissions;
Conduct regular OSH inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and contractors;
Lead the investigation of all incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
Plan and deliver comprehensive training programs, and provide expert safety advice and resources to staff at all levels;
Monitor the safety performance of all contractors working within the hospital to ensure they adhere to established safe systems of work; and
Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
A university degree in science should be preferably in the areas of OSH, Healthcare or equivalent;
With solid experience in OSH, preferably in healthcare settings;
With occupation therapist, physiotherapist or nursing background is preferable;
A Registered Safety Officer under Labour Department will be an advantage;
With relevant experience in hazardous substances exposure assessment and risk control strategy will be a definite advantage;
Responsible, self-motivated, attentive to details and accuracy and able to work independently under minimal supervision;
Proficiency in MS Office applications;
Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
Immediate availability is highly preferred .
Work location: The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong in Tseung Kwan O.
