We are a start-up company looking to expand our team and business.
PROVEN KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
B2B Networking & Sales: Bring and Build relationships with travel agencies to secure group bookings. Pitch catering services to corporate clients, exhibition organizers, and local business hubs.
Lead Generation and Business Development.: secure catering contracts and bookings from event planners, corporate clients, and venues for catering operations, from high-end canapé receptions to major public exhibition stalls. Coordinate logistics, custom menu design, and on-site execution.
Delivery & Group Sales: Expand the restaurant's market share in corporate lunch drop-offs, large takeaway delivery groups, and recurring institutional orders.
Operations Management: Supervise daily floor operations, ensuring seamless coordination between the kitchen and waitstaff.
Guest Relations & Culture: Act as a cultural ambassador by sharing stories and educating guests on regional Indian cuisines, spices, and heritage. Handle inquiries, accommodate special dietary requirements, and resolve complaints swiftly.
Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage FOH staff. Create work schedules, monitor performance, and motivate the team during high-pressure or busy shifts.
Financial Oversight: Track expenses, manage labor and food costs, and oversee budgets to maximize profitability. Manage ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory levels.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure the restaurant strictly adheres to local health codes, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
Core Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 3+ years of documented F&B management experience, ideally with specific exposure to regional Indian cuisine and hospitality.
Cultural Competency: Strong understanding of Indian food culture, culinary traditions, and dining etiquette. Fluency in Hindi or regional Indian languages is often preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with modern POS systems, inventory tracking software, and standard Employee Hero Restaurant Management tools.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills to manage diverse teams and demanding guests.
Must be able to speak English. Basic Cantonese would be an advantage !
