Come work, learn, and thrive with a young and expanding art gallery!
As our Gallery Intern, you will work directly with the directors and the gallery team. Supporting sales activities, engage in marketing, and assist in planning for special events such as exhibitions and art fairs.
Your key responsibilities:
- Exhibitions & Events: Assist in the planning, logistics, and execution of special projects, gallery exhibitions, and international art fairs.
- Sales & Client Relations: Support day-to-day sales activities and provide warm, exceptional customer service to our community of collectors.
- Marketing & Social Media: Help drive our digital presence; create engaging content and manage social media channels with a native understanding of current trends.
- Gallery Operations: Assist with general administrative tasks, database management, and hands-on artwork handling.
What We Are Looking For:
- Communication: Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required. Knowledge of other languages (such as Japanese or Korean) is a strong bonus.
- Creative Background: Prior experience or a strong interest in art, design, and/or related creative/customer service industries.
- Digital Savvy: Adept at navigating social media platforms with a sharp eye for visual storytelling.
- The "Non-9 to 5" Mindset: A desire to work in a non-traditional, agile startup environment that adjusts around exhibition schedules and events.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable with hands-on gallery work, including the ability to safely lift and move loads of up to 5kg (artworks, exhibition materials, documents).
- Experience: 1 year of Sales experience is a plus
- Availability: Immediate availability is highly preferred.
