Full job description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially astute Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the global sales and brand positioning of our polished diamond inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving B2B revenue by securing and managing relationships with prestigious luxury jewelry houses, international fashion brands, and high-volume retail chains. You will serve as the key link between our diamond sourcing operations and the exacting procurement standards of top-tier brand clients. You will manage sales pipelines, contract negotiations, marketing collateral, and client-specific quality protocols, ensuring our partners receive consistently graded, conflict-free polished diamonds that meet their design and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales & Brand Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for all sales and marketing matters related to polished diamonds, specifically regarding the 4Cs, certification standards (GIA/IGI), and parcel consistency required by luxury brand clients.
  • Develop and manage a detailed annual sales and marketing calendar aligned with diamond trading cycles, luxury fashion showrooms, and peak jewelry retail seasons (e.g., Chinese New Year, Q4 holidays).
  • Vet all client-specific MOQs, price bands, and quality tolerances during contract negotiation, paying special attention to diamond color and clarity grading, cut precision, and carat weight consistency across repeat orders.
  • Collaborate with the internal diamond sourcing and production teams to ensure rough or polished diamonds are allocated correctly for specific brand purchase orders (POs) and long-term supply agreements.
  • Oversee the timely issuance of all sales contracts, proforma invoices, and shipping documentation post-order confirmation, ensuring allocation to appropriate logistics partners based on value, destination, and insurance requirements.

Client Acquisition & Key Account Retention:

  • Ensure all brand client POs are acknowledged within 24–48 hours and confirmed with signed sales agreements outlining delivery schedules, certification requirements, and payment terms.
  • Monitor all active client orders and marketing initiatives weekly, ensuring sales targets and delivery timelines stay on track; proactively resolve bottlenecks in certification lead times, parcel sorting, or international shipping.
  • Ensure GIA/IGI certificate verification and diamond parcel integrity are maintained and transparently communicated to each client before shipment.
  • Liaise with third-party gemological labs and legal compliance officers to ensure all diamond parcels meet brand-specific ethical sourcing declarations (Kimberley Process, conflict-free guarantees, responsible sourcing reports).
  • Ensure brand trust and reputation are never compromised; relay any potential roadblocks such as grading discrepancies, supply shortages, or price volatility to senior management immediately with recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Create and submit invoices for all third-party non-product vendors (e.g., certification labs, secure logistics providers, insurance brokers, marketing agencies).

Brand Marketing & Industry Positioning:

  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with procurement heads, design directors, and supply chain executives at major luxury jewelry houses and fashion brands.
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager to adjust sales strategies based on market demand, pricing fluctuations in the polished diamond market, and emerging brand preferences (e.g., lab-grown vs. natural, traceability requirements).
  • Stay informed on Kimberley Process compliance, conflict-free diamond regulations, and emerging ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards to ensure all marketing claims and client reports are legally compliant and competitive.
  • Partner with Product Development and Sourcing teams to ensure that client-specific grading requirements (e.g., “G+ color, VS clarity, excellent cut”) are technically feasible and consistently deliverable across large parcels.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Sourcing, Logistics, Finance, and Compliance teams, intuitively knowing when to engage them to support client commitments and marketing campaign deliverables.
  • Manage up to senior leadership, keeping them informed of sales performance, market trends impacting polished diamond prices, competitive intelligence, and potential supply chain risks affecting client delivery promises.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure smooth international shipping, customs clearance, and insurance coverage for high-value polished diamond parcels destined for brand clients in key markets (e.g., Greater China, Europe, North America).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in B2B sales management, key account management, or marketing within the polished diamond trading, diamond manufacturing, or fine jewelry wholesale industry at a managerial level is a MUST.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep, verifiable understanding of the 4Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat), GIA/IGI certification standards, polished diamond pricing matrices, and the specific quality requirements of high-end jewelry brands is a MUST.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), inventory-linked sales platforms, and diamond grading report verification tools. Experience with RapNet, IDEX, or Jewelry ERP is a plus.
  • Client Network: Established network of procurement decision-makers at large luxury jewelry retailers, international fashion houses, or high-volume diamond buyers is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Gemology (GIA Graduate Gemologist or equivalent), or a related field.
  • Compliance: Familiarity with the Kimberley Process, conflict-free sourcing declarations, international shipping regulations for high-value goods (including ATA Carnets, dangerous goods declarations for diamond powder), and Hong Kong trade finance practices.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills, acute attention to detail in grading verification, ability to manage multiple high-value brand accounts simultaneously, and fluency in English (written and spoken); is highly preferrable for engaging International brand clients.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per month
