Job Description

Carries out chemical analysis to ensure work conforms to standards and is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Conducts laboratory work to meet project objectives.

Develops expertise in at least one major technical area: e.g. wet chemistry, metal chemistry or organic chemistry.

Performs laboratory procedures according to QA/QC SDPs and conforms to standard operating procedures for laboratory operation, etc.

Compiles records, calculates, analyzes and files data in accordance with accepted SDP. Interprets significance of results and draws conclusions which are referred to supervisor.

Documents work in the form of memorandum, reports, and methods.

Summarizes and contributes for publication results of laboratory work in company's interest.

Applies safety rules and adheres to general conduct regulations in handling laboratory materials and equipment.

Assumes responsibility for maintaining supply of reagents and other supplies necessary for work to be processed through the laboratory according to established schedules.

Operates and maintains specific laboratory equipment and makes minor repairs as necessary.

Qualifications

High Dip or Degree in Chemistry or related disciplines

1 to 2 years of relevant laboratory/chemical testing working experience is preferable

Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

Fresh graduate will also be considered

Immediate availability is preferred

Additional Information

Requirements:
Knowledge / experience on using laboratory equipment is preferable

Previous experience on modern instruments and organic chemistry is preferable;

Sound background of applying QA/QC standards (e.g. HOLKAS, ISO17025) to analytical laboratory is an advantage;
