Department: Legal & Regulatory Department

In this position, you will:

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with minimal supervision, including contracts related to telecommunications services, vendor agreements, and technology partnerships.

• Provide legal advice on daily operations, new business initiatives, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and data privacy related matter.

• Ensure compliance with telecommunications laws and regulations and handling regulatory reports etc.

• Advise on data privacy and protection matters, including data breach response, data transfer agreements.

• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures, with a focus including but not limited to telecommunications and data privacy.

• Monitor and advise on emerging data privacy and telecommunications regulations, ensuring proactive compliance and risk mitigation.

• Handle dispute and legal proceedings and other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

• Support the team to provide legal training on wide range of legal and compliance topics.

• Liaise with external parties, including regulators, external counsel, and industry bodies, on corporate legal, telecommunications, and data privacy issues.

To be successful in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• 1. Hong Kong qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) gained from reputable law firms or an in-house environment.

• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a strong team player with good interpersonal skills.

• Analytical with a commercial mindset and a results-oriented approach.

• Able to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Knowledge of Hong Kong telecommunications regulations, intellectual property and data privacy is desirable.
