Job Title: Product Development Manager (Wovens & Knits)

Location: Hong Kong (on-site in office)

We are seeking an organized and detailed-oriented Product Development Manager to manage all aspects of developing seasonal product from initial trends and concepts through to production. We are looking for a results-driven person to lead and manage the development of multiple categories for a specific US womenswear brand. This role will work closely with internal and external team members to deliver on-trend product, on time and within margin targets.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in apparel development, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

· Daily communication with internal and external partners

· Manage timelines and cross-functional coordination

· Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that we are bringing the best designs and solutions to life.

· Own and manage seasonal research focused on Asian markets, including market research from sources such as factories, mills, retail etc

· Work closely with our US counterparts for development purposes from trends through to production

· Work cross-functionally with internal Speed team

· Gain a solid understanding of the customer’s account and ensure our product reflects their intended aesthetics and expectations

· Work closely with factories and mills in finding samples, fabrics and trims to support the needs of our US design team

· Communicate confidently on a regular basis through email, excel charts, and video calls etc.

· Communicate clearly with both internal and external teams regarding their needs, expectations, and timelines

· Work with factories on our product needs and cost expectations to meet internal margin expectations while keeping in mind customer’s targets.

· Evaluate protos, pre-production and production garments and ensure accurate product and expectations are accomplished.

· Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, including with all tech packs and verifying information for internal and external partners.

· Help to identify risks to execution or delivery early on in the process and recommend practical solutions to maintain overall process momentum.

· Maintain accurate product information, development trackers and system data throughout the production lifecycle.

· Assist with sourcing and reviewing new fabrications and materials on a regular basis

· Degree in fashion, textiles, product development or a closely related field

· 5+ years in apparel product categories, with a focus on wovens and knits

· Clear and solid demonstrated experience managing products through the full lifecycle in a deadline-oriented manner and environment

· Strong project management, organizational and follow-up skills

· Comfortable working and collaborating across internal teams and with our vendor partners in Asia

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power point, and Excel

· Familiarity with PLM systems is strongly preferred

· Knowledge of garment development, approvals, and sourcing process

Pay: $25,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month
