Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager supports the evidence-based practices within the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Service by working with the team psychologists and deputy manager on research and knowledge management initiatives. The primary purpose of this role is to analyze complex data from large-scale emergency response operations to extract actionable insights and improve service delivery. Additionally, the position standardizes institutional expertise by systematically documenting operational manuals, technical data, and critical response records, ensuring operational readiness and continuous organizational learning for future crisis interventions. She/he will be supporting the emergency operations of the team if needed as well.

Key Responsibilities:
Support operational data analysis by evaluating quantitative and qualitative data from large-scale emergency response operations to identify trends and improve future MHPSS interventions.

Standardize institutional knowledge by systematically compiling, updating, and archiving operational manuals, technical documents, and response guidelines.

Generate research reports and data visualizations to translate complex emergency data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Establish data management frameworks that ensure the secure storage, high quality, and easy accessibility of all MHPSS emergency response records.

Collaborate with response teams to capture real-time lessons learned during crises, transforming field experiences into official organizational protocols.

Support emergency psychological support service in times of emergencies.

Carry out ad hoc projects and tasks when assigned by the supervisor(s).

Requirements:
University Degree in Social Science, Education and Humanities, discipline in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably with project implementation and research experience. Candidate with less experience will also be considered.

Good at project administration and operation, service analysis and report writing.

Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure.

Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

2.5 workdays per week, may need to perform duties on weekends or evenings if required.

Good command of MS Office and statistical analysis software.

Contract Period: 1 year

Working Hours: 22 Hours per week
