Hong Kong Education City Limited (EdCity) is a wholly-owned company of the Government of HKSAR. Our portal, EdCity.hk, is a one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong which incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services, and promotes the use of information technology (I.T.) in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning. We are now looking for a high caliber professional to join our dynamic team in the following position.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, quotation analysis, purchase orders and PO payment requests;
Assist in negotiation with vendors on price and business terms and conclude the purchase activities;
Perform checking and vetting tasks throughout the procurement process and ensure its' compliance with company policies and procedures;
Update supplier list, assist in conducting regular supplier performance evaluation and prepare reports for management review;
Assist Senior Procurement Officer to collect, categorise and collate cases for identify common errors for drafting list of Do's and Don't for users;
Assist in managing all documentation and maintain good record trail of transactions;
Provide administrative support in corporate affairs and office administration as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Purchasing / Supply Chain or a related discipline;
Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, experience in NGO or government aided organization is preferred;
Knowledge in sourcing and procurement of goods and services for the business operations of the company;
Knowledge in formulating and reviewing policies and procedures, best practices, and terms and conditions of procurements;
Experience in quotation/tender rectification and evaluation, as well as supplier management;
Good knowledge of e-procurement system is preferred;
Proficiency in Excel, e.g. Pivot table, VLOOKUP;
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing and Office 365;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
Proactive, self-motivated and independent;
Attention to details, strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills;
Good interpersonal and communication skills; willing to work as a team;
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Procurement Officer.
