Full job description
Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and related services in our 92 bed Cancer Rehabilitation Centre (“the Centre”)
Provide comprehensive 24-hour medical cover for the Centre
Clinical assessment and clerking of new patients
Obtain consent for procedures and perform procedures
Provide diagnosis and treatment plans to patients/ patients’ next-of-kin
Perform certification of death for patient and its related procedures
Provide emergency care and resuscitation of the critically ill and injured
Arrange for hospital transfers, provide consultations, and referrals
Provide contingency medical coverage, e.g., life support cover of non-clinical areas
Provide a medical clinic for staff on working days and be responsible for the day-to-day operations
Attend and contribute to activities such as case meetings, project seminar etc.
Promote good patient-doctor and staff relations within the Department/ Organisation
Prepare medical reports as and when directed
Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of the Centre
Requirements:
Medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance
Hold a valid Annual Practicing Certificate issued by the Medical Council of Hong Kong
Minimum 3 years of post-graduation relevant clinical service
Experience in working with cancer patients preferred
May be required to live in nursing home quarter residence
Meticulous and organised with a good follow-through
Team-player with good communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills that enable communication with staff from different levels
Able to adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced working environment with high workload
Fluency in Cantonese and English
Successful candidates will be offered a renewable contract term appointment with up to 10% of total basic salary as contract-end gratuity upon completion of contract with satisfactory performance. Other benefits include public holidays, birthday leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, compassionate leave, medical benefit, MPF, on job training, free shuttle bus service, free meal provided and long service award .
