Feather and Bone Holdings Ltd is a Premium Grocer & Restaurant concept . We are located in Central / Happy Valley / Clearwater Bay / Sai Ying Pun / Mid-Levels / Wan Chai/ Tsuen Wan / Yuen Long/ Sai Kung & Causeway Bay Hong Kong.
Launched by the founders of the popular “Three Butchers” online deli, Feather and bone brings top quality meats sourced directly from Australian farmers to the heart of Hong Kong. In-store and through the online store customers can get premium cuts of meat hand-cut daily by our butchers. Our market-fresh produce is selected daily by our dedicated staff in addition to our selection of seasonal products imported from Australia, Europe and the US.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Assistant Operations Manager at Feather & Bone is a hands-on, on-the-floor role responsible for building, delivering, and continuously improving training and service standards across all Front of House (FOH) teams. Serving as the guardian of consistent, high-quality guest experiences, this role oversees onboarding, leads the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to turn them into daily habits, and provides active operational support during service and events. Perfect for someone passionate about restaurants and developing people in fast-paced environments, the role works directly in venues to coach teams, support managers, check standards, assist with POS and stock routines, and optimize overall service flow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Support & Coaching
Work directly with FOH teams during service to reinforce good habits and correct issues in real time.
Support outlet managers by coaching staff on service flow, product knowledge, guest interaction, and daily routines.
Work closely with outlet managers to ensure daily operations run smoothly and consistently.
Work with the Events and Marketing teams to support operational needs.
Training & Onboarding
Set-up training initiatives, targets and plan for all FOH staff, always sticks to the market trend.
Support onboarding and training activities, ensuring they understand brand standards and operational expectations.
Help new hires settle in quickly by guiding them through their first shifts and building their confidence.
Support teams with menu knowledge, retail product basics, and confident guest interaction.
Standards & Quality Assurance
Uphold Feather & Bone’s service standards and ensure SOPs are followed across all outlets.
Help teams follow SOPs consistently, including opening/closing routines, table setup, service steps, and cleanliness standards.
Monitor venue cleanliness, ambience, and FOH readiness to ensure an excellent branded experience.
Spot operational gaps or outdated practices and work with the Ops team to improve them.
REQUIREMENTS
at least 5 years in restaurant operations management, preferably within multi-outlet or premium casual dining environments.
Thorough understanding of SOP implementation, FOH service standards, POS systems, and inventory processes.
Solid experience in restaurant / hospitality training; hands-on, floor-focused leader who excels at coaching teams and solving real-time operational problems directly in the venue.
Strong coaching, facilitation and communication skills to all levels, with the ability to give clear, constructive feedback on the floor.
Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English; Mandarian will be an absolute advantage.
Independent, organized and high attention to details.
