Sports Coaching jobs

Major Duties:

(a)

To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)

To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)

To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;

(d)

To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and

(e)

To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)

A relevant recognised degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;

(b)

At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience in sports industries, preferably in teaching the tertiary education sector;

(c)

Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese;

(d)

Good records of linkage with industries or professional bodies would be an added advantage; and

(e)

Coaching qualification in one or more of the following sports: handball, basketball, yoga, pilates and aerobic dance etc.

Notes:

(1)

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(2)

Applicant(s) with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Term Assistant Lecturer" at the rank of Teaching Associate.

(3)

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.

(4)

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus.
