Role Summary
As Head of Transaction Services (TS), Greater China, you will be responsible for leading and growing ING’s Transaction Services business across Hong Kong and China. You will oversee the development and delivery of solutions across:
- Trade Finance
- Working Capital Solutions
- Payments & Cash Management
- Liquidity and Pooling Solutions
You will drive business growth, deepen client relationships, identify new market opportunities, and ensure the business remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
About the Team
Transaction Services is a key growth engine within ING Wholesale Banking. Our teams support corporate and financial institution clients with solutions that help optimize cash flow, manage risk, improve working capital efficiency, and facilitate international trade.
Working closely with coverage, sector, product, operations, technology, and risk teams across the ING network, you will help deliver seamless and innovative solutions to clients throughout Greater China and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the Transaction Services strategy for Greater China in alignment with regional and global priorities.
- Drive client acquisition and strengthen relationships with existing corporate and institutional banking clients.
- Identify market opportunities and respond proactively to industry, regulatory, and competitive developments.
- Partner with coverage and sector teams to increase cross-selling and expand Transaction Services revenues.
- Collaborate with product teams to enhance and innovate transaction banking solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth while maintaining a strong risk and control environment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk frameworks, and local regulatory requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10–15+ years of experience within Transaction Services, Transaction Banking, or related wholesale banking businesses.
- Strong expertise across trade finance, working capital solutions, payments, cash management, and liquidity products.
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for business performance and team management.
- Demonstrated success in business development and senior client relationship management.
- Strong understanding of the transaction banking landscape in Hong Kong and China.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
