We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policymakers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.

About Goldman Sachs Marketing

Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, driving a business-critical function focused on the firm’s future growth. As such, Global Marketing is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization consists of Corporate Reputation Marketing and business marketing teams, as well as center of excellence (COE) teams like paid media, research, and design. Together, these functions collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to drive commercial impact for the firm and the businesses we serve.

About the Role

This role serves as a critical, on-the-ground representative for marketing in the APAC region, acting as a trusted advisor to local stakeholders while ensuring all initiatives align with the firm's commercial priorities, corporate brand strategy, and brand governance standards. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable collaborating with colleagues across geographies to manage marketing efforts across core markets within Asia Pacific, focusing on content creation, channel management, and strategic project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary marketing contact for APAC core markets (i.e., China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore), supporting regional brand and business goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regional management, business units, and cross-functional stakeholders to respond to real-time needs and market sentiments.
  • Ensure APAC firmwide marketing connectivity and alignment with the Global Marketing strategy and marketing colleagues in New York and London offices.
  • Manage the Goldman Sachs Corporate and 10KW WeChat accounts, including ideation, development, and distribution of content on a regular basis.
  • Support content creation and execution for global brand social channels (X, LinkedIn, Instagram) and manage executive social presence for ~2-3 regional leaders.
  • Support governance and content updates for market-specific sites across GS.com.
  • Monitor and report on channel performance, including data and analytics for WeChat to inform editorial and marketing directions.
  • Coordinate regional events with marketing amplification angle and content capture as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience marketing, communications, or a related field, preferably within a global financial services or professional services environment.
  • Strong communications and project management abilities with a track record of handling complex stakeholder relationships. Proficiency in content development across digital and social platforms (specifically WeChat) and knowledge/interest in financial markets.
  • Understanding of APAC market nuances, business needs, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required, and understanding of any other Asian languages is highly advantageous for managing regional sites and social channels.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to 'connect the dots' across different business units and global teams. Ability to flex between autonomous and collaborative working styles, always maintaining extremely high standards of excellence.
