Reporting directly to the Chairman, this Senior HR Manager will lead the full spectrum of human resources across a diverse workforce within a prestigious luxury hospitality environment. Managing a lean HR team, you will serve as a trusted adviser to senior leadership and partner closely with finance and operation teams to deliver effective people strategies that support both employee engagement and business performance.
This is a highly hands-on generalist role covering the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, mobility, and offboarding. A key focus of the position will be managing complex employee relations matters across both frontline and corporate populations, including investigations, disciplinary cases, grievances, conflict resolution, and employment-related queries, while ensuring compliance with Hong Kong employment legislation and company policies.
You will provide practical HR support and guidance in a fast-paced operational environment. The role will also oversee visa applications, work permits, and mobility support for expatriate employees, while driving initiatives that enhance employee experience, retention, and organisational culture. The successful candidate will bring a balanced approach to people management, acting as both an employee advocate and a commercially minded business partner. You will continuously review HR processes, policies, and practices to support organisational growth, operational excellence, and long-term business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service.
Profile
The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the business, a respected partner to operations teams, and a strong advocate for a positive employee experience. They will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence, demonstrate sound judgement when dealing with sensitive employee matters, and possess the ability to navigate the unique challenges of luxury hospitality while supporting sustainable business growth.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years of progressive HR experience with solid exposure as a HR Generalist.
Proven experience within luxury hospitality, high-end hotel groups, luxury F&B groups, exclusive private clubs or premium service-oriented environments.
Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution.
Strong working knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and relevant labour legislation.
Extensive experience managing compensation and benefits programs and advising business leaders on employee-related matters.
Hands-on experience supporting large frontline employee populations, including restaurant operations staff, kitchen teams, service staff, and management personnel.
Familiarity with visa applications, immigration processes, employment sponsorship, and workforce mobility support.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance employee advocacy and organisational objectives.
Highly proactive, agile, resourceful, and comfortable operating within a lean and fast-paced environment.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the organisation.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
High level of professionalism, maturity, discretion, and integrity.
